Prince George's Department of Parks and Recreation offers four activity sessions each year. These include spring (March through May), summer (June through August), fall (September through November), and winter (December through February). Additionally, Parks and Recreation offers a separate session for summer day camp programs.
Registration begins one month before each session. For a session’s actual registration dates, visit www.pgparks.com or pick up a copy of the seasonal Your Guide to Parks and Recreation. Typical registration periods are as follows.

*When the first day of the month falls on a Wednesday, all registration dates shift by one week:
- Impact area = second Wednesday of the month
- Households verified as in-county = third Wednesday of the month
- Unverified or out-of-county households = fourth Wednesday of the month
For registration periods, only households with a verified address in Prince George’s County are eligible for priority registration. Households with a verified address in Montgomery County and households outside these two counties may begin registration one week later.
**For programs at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex only: To qualify for priority registration, households must have a verified address within the defined impact area boundaries surrounding the facility.
