How to register for an activity

PARKS DIRECT has a lot of activities for you to choose from. Here you'll learn how to sift through Parks and Recreation's activities to find the right one for you.

Sign in to PARKS DIRECT

1.  Go to www.pgparksdirect.com and sign in to your PARKS DIRECT account.

  • Select SIGN IN on the upper-right corner of PARKS DIRECT's home page. Then enter your username and password in the boxes. Lastly, select the Login button below the Username and Password boxes.

Search for an activity

2.  One of the best ways to search for activities is by using Activity Search under the Activities section. To get there, select Browse > Activity Search on the navigation bar at the top of the website.

  • If you know the activity's full code select Enroll by Activity Number.

3.  On the Activities Search page, you can narrow your search by using the filters (Age, Type, Location, Keyword, etc.) on the left side of the page. When you're ready for your results, select Search on the bottom of the page or Search Now on the middle of the page.

Select Reset on the bottom-left corner to remove all filters.

You can also search activities by type using the photo tiles on PARKS DIRECT's home page.

4.  Check the checkbox to the left of the activity that you want to join. You can only add activities to your cart that are available or have a waitlist.

5.  Select Add To Cart on the pop-up banner at the bottom of the screen.

When PARKS DIRECT accounts are created online they are marked non-resident (and charged higher non-resident fees) until Parks and Recreation receives necessary documents for age and residency verification. For instructions on how to upload verification documents, please go to our article on residency status.

In the screenshot below, resident and non-resident prices are listed respectively below Cost.

6.  Check the checkbox under the PARKS DIRECT family member participating in the activity. You may enroll multiple members for the same activity.

To add a PARKS DIRECT family member, go to the top right of the screen, select MY ACCOUNT  > Household & Member, and select the Add New Member button at the bottom of the page.

 Some activities may require a waiver, which will ask you to check the box next to I agree with the above and then select Continue.

7.  You may browse other options by selecting Continue Shopping or complete the transaction by selecting Proceed To Checkout.

Complete your purchase

8. Fill in your payment information. Then select Continue on the bottom left of the checkout screen.

You can donate to one of our charity programs by selecting Donate.

Upon successful payment processing, PARKS DIRECT will take you to a page where you can:

  1. Fill out a quick survey about your experience.
  2. View your receipt as a PDF.
  3. Send a copy of your receipt to your email address.
  4. Continue shopping for other items and activities.
